You are responsible for safely returning your rented item(s) no later than the final date of your rental period. HURR requires a 1st class tracked and signed for, guaranteed next day service or similar. We also require our renters to fully insure the shipping of the item when returning it, as the renter is liable for the full market value of the item in the case of loss or damage.
If it’s ‘Managed’...
If your item is ‘Managed’, then you will have been sent a pre-paid returns label and a cable tie within your reusable packaging. If you have lost your cable tie then please use whatever means necessary to secure the bag (e.g. string).
👯If it’s not ‘Managed’...
If you rented from one of our marketplace lenders, you must return the item using a guaranteed next-day tracked, fully insured delivery service.
- Place the rental in a postal bag of your choice.
- Find the return address in the In Progress section of Renting.
- Drop your package off at your local Post Office or with a courier of your choice on the specified return date, making sure to keep proof of postage as this has your tracking number.
N.B. If your rental end date is on a Sunday please liaise with the lender to discuss a suitable time to return the item on either the Saturday or the Monday.
Below are some handy examples of what packaging to use and not to use.
✅ Pack clothing in secure, waterproof packaging.
✅ Pack delicate items and jewellery in an appropriate box.
✅ Make sure packaging is secured well, using cable ties and/or tape.
✅ Remove any previous postage labels on the packaging.

The return address will be visible on your rental page in My Rentals > Renting > View Rental Details > Return Address. If you cannot see the return address, please message the lender via the HURR messaging platform on your account.
