You are responsible for safely returning your rented item(s) no later than the final date of your rental period. HURR requires a 1st class tracked and signed for, guaranteed next day service or similar.
If it’s ‘Managed’...
If your item is ‘Managed’, then you will have been sent a pre-paid returns label and a cable tie within your reusable packaging. If you have lost your cable tie then please use whatever means necessary to secure the bag (e.g. string).
👯 If it’s not ‘Managed’...
If you rented from one of our marketplace Lenders, you must return the item using a guaranteed next-day tracked, service.
The simplest way to do this is to use the integrated DPD option, directly from your account. This option will be available to you from the first day of your rental start date on your rental summary page. We'll also email you about it, don't worry!

- Print your label and drop the parcel off! Choose from over 6,000 DPD parcel shops across the UK for convenient drop-off.
That is it! No need to manually share tracking details with your Lender - we'll take care of that and keep you and your Lender up to date about your parcel's journey back to them.
ℹ️ If for peace of mind, you would prefer to use an insured service for your parcel, we recommend using the Post Office for your return. They offer a next-day (pre-1 pm) service, that is fully tracked and insured. Please provide the Lender with proof of postage and tracking information via the HURR messaging platform if you choose this option.
N.B. If your rental end date is on a Sunday please liaise with the lender to discuss a suitable time to return the item on either the Saturday or the Monday.
📦 Below are some handy examples of what packaging to use and not to use.
✅ Pack clothing in secure, waterproof packaging.
✅ Pack delicate items and jewellery in an appropriate box.
✅ Make sure packaging is secured well, using cable ties and/or tape.
✅ Remove any previous postage labels on the packaging.

The return address will be visible on your rental page in My Rentals > Renting > View Rental Details > Return Address. If you cannot see the return address, please message the lender via the HURR messaging platform on your account.
