Follow these steps to ensure your rental arrives safely and on time.
1. Check the delivery address
- Find your Renter’s address under Lending → Manage My Rental in your account.
- Always double-check the address with your Renter before dispatch, as plans may change.
- Make sure your return address is clearly written on the outside of the parcel.
2. Send on time
- Ensure the item arrives on the rental start date
- We advise Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm, which is tracked, requires a signature and includes £750 insurance.
- Do not send the item early unless agreed with your Renter, and only once they have confirmed they will be home to receive it.
- If the item arrives late, the Renter may be entitled to a full or partial refund.
3. Photograph the item before dispatch
- Take clear, detailed photos of the item, including any existing marks or imperfections.
- Photos must be taken within 24 hours before dispatch. Your phone’s date stamp can help evidence the item’s condition.
- Repeat this process when the item is returned, so you have a record of its condition.
- If an item arrives in poor condition, the Renter may be entitled to a full or partial refund, and you may be responsible for the return postage.
4. Keep in touch with your Renter
- Ensure dispatch tracking is shared via your HURR messages or inputted wihtin the order details.
- Good communication helps create a positive rental experience and encourages great reviews!
5. Agree return arrangements
- If the rental ends on a Sunday, contact your Renter in advance to agree the return date, as many delivery services do not operate on Sundays.
