To ensure transparency and document the condition of items before and after lending on HURR, follow these steps:

  1. Before Sending Out:
    • Take clear and detailed photos of the item using your phone.
    • Ensure these photos capture any existing imperfections or details that might be important for the renter to note.
    • These photos should be taken within 24 hours before dispatching the item to the renter.
    • The date stamp on your phone's photos will serve as proof of the condition at the time of dispatch.
  2. Upon Receiving Back:
    • Inspect the item promptly upon its return.
    • If you notice any damage or discrepancies compared to the initial condition documented in your photos, take additional photos within 24 hours of receiving the item.
    • These photos should clearly show the damage or changes in condition.
    • Flag the issue to your Renter via the messenger immediately. You can issue a charge, if needed, directly from the rental details page. If a resolution cannot be reached within 72 hours, the HURR Care Team can support if you reach out.
    • If your Renter took out Damage Protection on their rental, any minor repairs or additional cleaning services will be covered up to £75. Just send us the receipts and we'll settle up with you!

By following these steps, you ensure that you have clear documentation of the item's condition both before and after it was rented, which helps protect both you as the lender and the renter.
