๐Ÿšš Same Day Delivery on Peer-to-Peer Rentals

Weโ€™re excited to introduce Same Day Delivery for peer-to-peer (P2P) rentals! Hereโ€™s everything you need to know.

โš ๏ธ Please note: This applies only to P2P rentals only Managed rentals fulfilled by HURR directly are not included.


๐Ÿ“ Key Things to Remember

  • Same-day requests close at 8 PM.
  • All same-day and next-day requests expire at 9 PM on the rental start date.
  • Managed rentals (HURR) are not eligible.

โฐ Whatโ€™s the cut-off time for Same Day Delivery?

  • You can request same-day delivery up until 8:00 PM (if the date is available).
  • After 8:00 PM, same-day delivery will no longer be available โ€” but you can still book for next day delivery.

Unavailable dates on the calendar will show with a strikethrough.


๐Ÿ“… How long does the lender have to respond?

This depends on when you make your request:

Same Day Rentals (expire 9:00 PM on the rental start date):

  • Request at 12:00 PM โ†’ Lender has 9 hours to respond.
  • Request at 6:00 PM โ†’ Lender has 3 hours to respond.
  • Request at 8:00 PM โ†’ Lender has 1 hour to respond.

Next Day Rentals (expire 9:00 PM on the rental start date):

  • Request at 6:00 PM (day before) โ†’ Lender has 27 hours to respond.
  • Request at 9:00 PM (day before) โ†’ Lender has 24 hours to respond.
  • Request at 12:00 PM (on the day) โ†’ Lender has 9 hours to respond.

For rentals booked 2+ days in advance, the lender still has 48 hours to respond.


โŒ What if the lender cancels?

  • If the lender cancels after accepting your booking, youโ€™ll receive a full refund, and their payout is cancelled.
  • If your request is still pending, the lender can simply decline it (no cancellation needed).

โŒ What if the renter cancels?

  • If you cancel before the rental is accepted, youโ€™ll receive a full refund.
  • Once the rental is accepted, short-term cancellations may incur fees. Please see our Renter Cancellation Policy FAQ for details.
  • If you have issues with a cancellation after acceptance, please contact the HURR team.

๐Ÿ”” Notifications

To keep things simple:

  • Lenders get three reminders: when the request is confirmed, at 5 PM, and at 8 PM.
  • Renters booking a next-day delivery will also receive an email at 9 AM on the rental start date if the lender hasnโ€™t responded โ€” letting them either contact the lender directly or cancel for a full refund.
